Been going here for years as a local, but seen how service deteriorated. i think the staff has become very nervous due to the outbursts of the owner that they make mistakes and service deteriorated. on three fridays now, i had to wait very long and on two occasions they did not give me the correct order. i always order via phone as i don't want to sit in that tension. don't dare tell the owner that the order is wrong as he will abuse you and chase you out of his shop. seen that a couple of times.

If you want the best fish and chips in perth, go there. the fresh fish is cut daily and is exactly what you ask for. i've been a regular customer for years and the food is always top class. to the anonymous person who " upset the man " i think you are full of shit. you're blog doesn't make any sense because how did you pay for the order if it was lost. i noticed you still rated the food 4 out of 5, which would have been a five if you weren't such a whinging asshole. the shop always seems busy enough without idiots like you going there. keep up the good work guys, highly recommended.

Just witnessed the owner abuse a customer when he was asking for the status of his order. he ended up chasing the customer out of the shop. unacceptable behaviour. just before this my friend and i heard him have an argument with his wife.

They take your order over the phone,you go to collect at the time advised and they take your money and then you find out that they haven't done your order - in fact they have lost it. you are disappointed and react accordingly whereas you are met with the owner asking aggressively what's wrong and before you have chance to say anything he turns his back, mutters (more than likely about you) angrily arranges the tools of his trade and ignores you . well bevan -goodbye from a regular.

Service and time in which your meal is ready is great. fish is always fresh and tasty. think this shop does a great job. it surprises me to see a few ppl having a whine. mike pretty much sums up what i think a few reviews down. well said.

May not be the cheapest but has to be the best! chips have that special crunchy outside, fluffy inside of perfectly double fried chips. they fillet their own fish and it's worth paying extra for the fish of the day which is as fresh as you can get - mouth watering! much better value and quality than the groper

We have the choice of several fish and chip outlets in city beach but we always go to fish shack in doric street...remember when you used to get great tasting, fresh fish for a reasonable price? well they never disappoint. sometimes you get an extra pineapple ring or potato scallop thrown in just like the old days!

Are you serious mate? poor value for money... the quality and freshness of the food would be amongst the best in the world. the fish is so fresh it?s silly, it falls apart like butter when you eat it because its caught in wa, filleted by the boss the day it is served up and it's cooked in sunflower oil. for 15-20 bucks a meal what else do you want a handjob? to say the staff are extremely rude is a bit steep. the counter girls are lovely. obviously you've hit a nerve with the boss on a busy friday night or something and he's had a crack? so what, when you're that busy the last thing you want is some tweaker in your george foreman grill. the fishack didn't win the best fish and chips for no reason. the food and service is great. get over it

This place has it all,there own beer batter, rice flour for all grilled fish,every thing cooked in sunflower oil, steamed dim sims and blow me down the fish is actually true to its name. pitty a few other places in scarborough weren't the same
