I have been to many stores across melbourne and this store gets a very rare thumbs up for food texture and product for dollar value.
the blue grenadier is a fantastic choice for battered fish. quite thick and juicy inside. their batter is crunchy but not fatty and gooey on the inside.
i cannot stand the flat hard cricket bat like battered fish presented at most stores. so this store was a rare find.
as a note, on fridays order by the phone as it is sooooo busy that if you walk in you will be waiting a good 40 - 60 minutes for your order to be complete. a testament to their reliability and peoples trust in their store.
