We have been visiting thai surprise since it's opening a few years ago and it is always consistantly good. leeang is a great chef and if you ask they will always try to accomodate your taste. cant tell you how many home alone curries we've had...but that's our favourite. they make a really good pad thai too. well worth a visit if you are contemplating going for the first time.

We were very regular diners when it was in kallangur. a bit far now but we still go occasionally. food is always good. leanne is a lovely lady and the staff are always friendly and happy. when busy (which it is most of the times we are there) service understandably a bit slow. i think busy means good so don't agree with woody666. going there again tonight. can't wait.

 2nd time waste of money

This is the second we have been here.
the food was very bland, we were told it was authentic thai, what a joke compared to sydney.
the manager leanne told us she was sorry they have not satisfied us twice we have been there.
we sent the entree back because it was cold.
one of main course dishes had more vegetables than the prawns just 8 to a serve
the manager told us to try the other thai restaurants in the area.
the waitress told us we were the first to complain, maybe we were not scared to complain.
we were told you should have asked for authentic thai, i did go a thai restaurant to get served thai food i thought.
in all my years of eating in restaurants i have never been thrown out,
the manager opened the door after i had paid the bill and wished us good night.
do not waste your money going here!!!!!!!!!!

We have been regular customers of this restaurant for a number of years. the food is affordable with takeout almost as good as sit in. can cater for larger groups as it able to seat well over 100. friendly staff, and quite possibly the best dedicated asian option on the peninsula.

Good food, lovely staff, fairly cheap. i have been a few times, and have never been disappointed. also, there is a great range of vegetarian options!

I'm quite a regular customer of thai surprise (i have never dined in, only take-away), and whilst i wouldn't say it's anything to rave about, i think it is certainly in the top 20% of thai places i've been to. worth a try - don't expect the world and you won't be disappointed.
