 Busiest in town for a reason

I cant believe the last couple of reviewers - they are not presenting the facts - you have to wonder if someone is trying to sabotage the restaurant it is so far from the truth.
there's a reason this place is so busy every night (and it's never been open on mondays as clearly stated on the sign out front) - it's superb quality meals, excellent friendly and warm service and great atmosphere.
it's well known by locals that you have to book on weekends, we've been going here for 5 years.
they haven't "cornered the market" as a previous reviewer has suggested - there are at least 3 other thai restaurants in our small town that i can think of - they have captured the market because it's better than the other places. simple.
i wouldn't hesitate to visitors to our town as well as locals to go and try this place and compare it to other places in shepp or even better restaurants in melbourne and it will compare favourably.
(by the way i'm not just a blindly loyal local - i regularly visit melbourne restaurants and have recently returned from a trip to thailand (my second) - so i do speak as someone who can compare to other places

Tonight i ordered a take away tom yum soup and satay chicken entree. my two favorite dishes i always order from thai restaurants. i thought the portions were very small considering how much it cost. the soup had very little seafood and it was way over cooked ( like chewing on rubber) however there were a lot of mushrooms but not much else... the chicken was surprisingly bland, i have had much better for so much less. i'm going to try another thai restaurant in town next time.

Had highly anticipated going to restaurant after reading the positive reviews. first tried monday night - based on the opening times on their door and this site. closed. tried again thursday. taken to unadorned table - no tablecloth, cutlery set of one knife, fork, plain white cheap plates etc. not offered water. water given but not poured. no byo. ordered two glasses of the house wine. awful. menu boring - no fish cakes, fresh salads, whole fish etc. nuggets and chips?! one veggie entree, which i ordered - no comment. ordered pad thai - had to send back as it had egg and i'd asked without. came back with no cutlery. had to wait a while for cutlery. tasted like a bowl of sugar with a few hunks of carrots, spring onion and bean shoots, and cauliflower (really, in thai?) which walked through on stilts, there were so few. had to ask for soy sauce and chilli to try to balance sugar. lastly, over-priced - husband didn't order red curry because together with rice would've been $30. it's like they cornered the market and people come here out of habit.
