Bad manner from both the waitress and the owner of the restaurant. no apologize and blame the customer for our fault. the owner should care hsi best to the customer but he just ignore his waitress' mistake and not ask her to say sorry or say sorry in behalve of her. the owner just walk around the restaurant doing nothing even if he is free enough to deal the matter with us and the waitress didn't say sorry or give any explanation. at the end the owner wanted us to leave and leave this matter and he said he will discount the price but at the end we just realize that he overcharge us.

If you go to a restaurant to eat nice food (as opposed to impressing yourself or your friends), then taj palace will do the job very well. it's authentic, properly spiced, technically accomplished and generously served. harry won't let you leave hungry, and the house thali plate (assorted curries with bread and rice) is a bargain. no nonsense, great tasting indian food in a handy north hobart neighbourhood restaurant

 Food never arrived. unapologetic manager

Had to leave the restaurant after the food had not arrived for 2 hours. the manager did not seem to care and was happy to let us go after we had paid for the starters. he over charged us for that too. shame, i did not notice this while i was there. not a nice experience at all.

Taj palace is a very good restaraunt, probably my number 1 spot for indian. eating in the atmosphere and service is great, however the takeaway service can be incredibly slow (suggest ringing ahead).

I was taken here for a quiet dinner for two for my birthday. the food was great. the staff ensure you have everything you need and are very friendly. good prices. thoroughly enjoyed visiting tas palace.
