Believe me i never visit mcdonalds. i am an experienced home cook extraordinaire. i expect and have gotten used to quality restaurants when i do go out, e.g., the lake house at the entrance, bennelong in sydney to name a few. of course if you, richard have low standards and are used to mediocre fare you will not be dissapointed with simply sicilian. i, when i wrote my review was stating facts and my experience with the restaurant.

great food, fabulous atmosphere and staff the envy of every restaurant on the central coast.
meg, you obviously got lost on the way to mcdonalds.

Altogether a big disappointment. rude owner/manager. no cold table water on a really hot night. food average and service inconsistent. no byo should allow it and charge corkage. restaurant was hot and uncomfortable. mussels a huge rip off. calamari was oily and tasteless.

Dropped in out of the blue on friday night with wife and hungry son, lucky to get a table (obviously the locals have this place in their sights). food was superb, atmosphere made us want to stay until closing time, service was fast and staff extremely friendly. other restaurants could learn a lot from simply sicilian.
can't wait to go back.

Garlic bruschetta pizza was to die for, my veal dish was mouth watering and the pannacotta was just the bomb. not to mention the wait staff were fun and friendly, we really had an awesome night there! thank you so much to the team, we will be back!

Dined there on saturday night for my daughters 28th b/day (6 adults, 2chld). i have had plenty of pizzas & italian over the years & this rates with the best. the staff were extremely friendly & helpful as well. we will return!!!!!

First visit here for my sister in laws birthday, the i have drivin past so many time and i will not just drive past again. we were greeted with great enthiusiasm, we had great service from all the girls who were really alot of fun ( the boss should be very happy i think, you dont get that personal service in sydney )the food was just great to, i would recomend this to evreryone,!! conratulations... we will be back and back and back. rosco

We came here for my dad's birthday and were very impressed. it is a family-run restaurant and it shows. the staff put a lot of effort into ensuring you have a great time, including singing happy birthday! the food was amazing, the best restaurant meal i've had in a really long time- brilliant rissotto.
i'll definately be back, and i'll be telling everyone i know about it.
thanks very much for a wonderful dining experience!
