Local gem - now discovered

A few weeks ago our fav chinese restaurant (which has a very modern fit-out, is the best known in newcastle, aka new lambton, and does a roaring take-away trade) was closed. my wife remembered a friend's recommendation, so i drove to putra at blackbutt ... not expecting much more than standard asian take-away. how wrong could i be ... this modest little shop turns out fantastic satay king prawn dishes and mini spring rolls to die for. the large special fried rice could do with more pork and chicken than we received, but the freshness, taste and value is brilliant! highly recommmended on our experience's so far.
