Terrible terrible home delivery service: no skills with taking information down over the phone, rude, hostile, and in the end we didn't get our food because they claimed we had given them the wrong address, and had not given them our number (in spite of us calling to enquire over a period of two hours and offering the number each time). what's more likely: that we forgot our home address, or that the dufus on the other end of the phone can't interpret simple instructions?

 Rude, surly service and poor quality

Surly and rude service with average pizza at premium prices.
service is atrocious on a friday or saturday night - the people serving don't bother with things like "truth" or "common courtesy". this appears to be in large part due to the arrogant and rude owner.
while the topppings are ok and the veggie pizzas are good (for veggie pizzas), expect everything to be drowned in cheese even if ordered with less cheese (wtf?) and have the crust burnt (?).

E regularly ate melinzans pizzas and they used to be very good. however the last few times they have been absolutely awful: very little topping, very oily and sloppy. i have also noticed their prices have gone up recently. wanting to know whether they had changed hands (which might explain things) i rang up and spoke to the 'supposed' owner. hoping to make polite enquiries as to why the change in quality i received a "bugga off go somewhere else if you don't like it" and then was hung up on. i was quite surprised at this response because i was nothing but respectful and i really want to like their pizza's because they used to be great. anyway i suppose its time to find a new place. i also encourage other people to comment as establishments need to realise there are consequences (via real time public reviews) to them charging for an inferior product and/or not listening to their customers.

Like other reviews, i loved this pizza when i first tried it - my sister is gluten free, so was very happy that they catered for this. since then however i have found them to be extremely rude and unhelpful, and when i tried to get a delivery to summer hill, which is only a 7min drive away, they tried to say that to deliver there the order had to be a minimum of $35 - yes i agree - going downhill fast!!!

Like many of the posts, i used to love this place. now i believe they are a victim of their own success and pizza's are usually late (on pick up), occasionally burnt, and the staff are less than friendly. maybe we just need another decent pizza joint to help them cope with the load....

They used to have decent pizzas but lately the quality has deteriorated. the pizzas are way too oily resulting in a soggy base.
do you like to wait for your oily pizza? then this is the place for you. try ordering on a friday night to endure the hour long wait. you'll be amazed that no matter how many people are waiting the staff always tell the next customer their order will be twenty minutes! you'll also blush upon hearing the owners insult customers and staff.

Melizana's in newtown tried to justify that oops they were busy after waiting for 2 ***** hours for a burnt pizza. & then after the owner offered freebies wanted to charge for a re-delivery the next week of $20 and then when i was insulted, she hung up twice - service = 0 ... our business = none now.

Was the best, now the worst

This used to be the best pizza in the inner west up until a month or two ago.
since then both the service and the quality of the pizzas has really taken a massive turn for the worst.
we have blacklisted them after four bad experiences in a row.
firstly it was a pickup order that was 30 minutes late.
the next time, it was a delivery order that was an hour late.
the time after it was a delivery order that was almost two hours late and burned to a crisp.
after the third shocker, we called to advise them that we weren't satisfied and the response from "amanda" the manager "it happens, we are busy". after some continued discussion, she agreed that if we would give them another chance, she would fix us up with free pizzas next time we called.
we were skeptical, but gave them a shot.
after calling, she attempted to charge $15 for a delivery fee despite the order for the pizzas coming to the exact same $24.50 that the burned, late pizzas had come to.
when we queried this, she launched into a diatribe telling us that we didn't have to eat there if we didn't want to and to take our business elsewhere.
i predict that this place is going to sink very swiftly if they don't pick up their act... if you are too busy, hire more staff - remember that it is your customers who keep you in business.
