My husband loves the amount of toppings and the price...i make a better pizza, but for a quick take out for price, time and location to house; it can't be beat. would like delivery of my cheese pizza without the cheese sliding off and onto the cardboard, so pick up it is.

You have tasted this pizza before, because there are far too many pizza joints like this. your stock standard sloppy, soggy pizza - full of topping but devoid of taste!

I have lived in northcote for 4 years and i must say louis and frankos pizzas are the bomb, yeah sometimes they are soggy but that is when u get the ones with mushrooms, anything else is so filling and the garlic pizza is the best i have tried from any pizza shop,

My wife is a great cook with some training and would definately comment on food every where we go... on an advice from one of my family friend i decided to take her to l&f and wow!!! for the first time ever she had no negative comments and my problem is solved now everytime i have to plan a dinner outside i go to l&f and at the rates they offer this is absolute steal for me...

I have been eating pizza from l & f's for nearly a year, and i think it's tops. agree with other guys on the fillings... unbelievable! you really get a mouthful and are always satisfied. i agree that on a few occassions, the pizza has come soggy, but if you're on the other side of what do you expect? fact is that you will enjoy every bite from beginning to end...
just one recommendation... get an online website going with menu`s.. my intellingent husband managed to throw the menu` and when i called to order the girl wasn't helpful at all...
you need to get on line... you deserve to be known!! keep up the great work loui and frank! all the best

Ordered 3 large pizza's. one was great (hawaian version) ..the other two (the lot) and margherita were quite ordinary..
i do love this place, however, and would recommend for a taste anyways! the folks are fantastic too.

Bring back the old pizza ham!

Hi guys,
i've been a loyal l&f's customer for a few years and recommend you guys all the time...but i noticed you guys changed your pizza ham maybe about a year or so ago. it really sucks! now i try to avoid the pizza ham, which means i can't enjoy my favourites such as mexicana and grand pescatore. bring the old pizza ham back asap!!

A small pizza weighs about 2 kgs and is loaded with wholesome pizza goodness - not for the nouveau, faint hearted gourmet pizza players. when its busy, the reataurant runs like a madhouse but is all part of the ye-olde family pizza business. definitely worth a visit.

Last night, my family and i decided to try the pizza at loui and franko's for ourselves, as we had a number of people recommend it to us in the past. the family loved the pizza! all complemented the perfect amount of yummy pizza topping on our pizza's! thanks guys, we will definitely be back for more. ps i called the place prior to driving over there to make sure they were open. we previously rocked up on a day and it was closed. as it turns out they are closed on mondays! my point is i received friendly customer service from the gentleman to whom i spoke. he was neither hurried nor rude. overall a most positive experience. thanks.

Unbelievable pizza. you cannot go past this store and not try their pizzas. every pizza has fresh ingredients from the base, to the cheese and even the whole rashers of bacon on my favorite 'aussie' pizza. their pizzas always include immense amounts of topping, at a great value for your money. i highly recommend this store to all lovers of fine austra-italian pizzas!!!

This is only one of two businesses i really really missed when we moved interstate for a couple of years.
totally agree with the guy who talked about lots of toppings - the first time we ordered there we asked for extra toppings, and it looked like a birthday cake!!
we don't usually eat in the restaurant, so can only speak for the quality of the food, but if you're after a seriously good pizza, this is it.

Deliveries can be a little slow when busy resulting in soggy pizzas but this is the exception rather than the rule. pizzas wood fired, lots of toppings. restaurant needs a reburbishment hard seat but atmosphere genuine. service friendly and pizzas made with attention and love. if you like a hard crispy crust not the place for you.

That guy with the soggy pizza is a fool. l & f rock. i've been living in northcote for 30 years, and only discovered this business about 4 years ago to my immense dismay.
these pizzas are so filling, tasty, mouth watering it will blow your mind. great value for the amount of topping too (has to be seen to be believed.) i recommend mexicana,or grand pescatori. i thanks god for this place every time it's pizza night at our house. one criticism - sometimes the young guy on the phone can be a bit rude, but i just think he's a bit slow and gruff, nothing intentional.
everyone must try this 'experience' - i promise you'll love it!

Soggy pizzas!

Takeaway pizzas were terrible. the arrived completely soggy - dripping wet. when we rang the staff were very unapologetic. they knew the pizzas were soggy but it's because they used fresh mushrooms on that day (normally they use old mushrooms apparently)! first time we'd ever heard of mushrooms causing pizzas to be dripping wet.
