Worst take away food experience
On 04/10/12, at 2156 hours, i had take away from indian affairrestaurent, merseybank apartments, 153 - 159 rooke street, devonport tas ,phone:(03) 6423 5141, when i went home and had a bite, i just vomited straight away. apparently, the food was, that was given to me in that take away, was gone off (stale). me and my wife took it back to the restaurant straight away but the owner refused to talk to us and refused to open the door for us. i rang federal police switch on 131444 at 2206 hours and requested to have some advice in regards to this matter.afp said ?there is nothing police can do about it,you can make a complaint to tasmanian health department?. i rang the owner again on 0364235141, he just started swearing, called me fuckwid and hang up on me. we got so scared and decided to leave the place and came back to our hotel.

Best garlic naan!
My husband & i ate at indian affair on 11/4/2012 and enjoyed it immensely! the owner greeted us with a smile and made us feel like we were old friends he hasn't seen in awhile. it was the best service! the garlic naan was the best we have ever eaten! we ended up having two each! the entree of lentil dip with really nice poppadums was great. the mains were pretty tasty also, but the star was the garlic naan. will definitely be going back...soon!

Prema goes out of his way to make you feel at home. we just love eating here - friendly, helpful and great food. and flexible - prema has even turned the restaurant into an american diner for a private event. now that's service!

Still fantastic
Dinner on a cold winters night at indian affair was an absolute pleasure. all entrees were all scrumptions and very generous. mains where a delight to the taste buds. we tried both breads and a raita, all together an amazing taste sensation. we are looking forward to making make this a regular.

Consistently great food and service
My partner and i dine regularly at indian affair. the food is consistently of good quality, the staff are professional and friendly. on one occassion we arrived, without a booking and it was quiet late however the manager welcomed us in and once again we had an enjoyable meal and lovely service. other restaurants usually stop cooking at around 9 or 9:30 however indian affair will often take late dine in or take aways.

Rude
I was dumped on a corner table, moved rudely from the table i had placed my bag on. i overheard the manager snickering and telling the other waitress to tend to me as he wanted the nice (white) couple, despite the fact that i was there first. when he took forever tending to them and i waited for someone to take my order, i enquired if they had had their order taken as i had arrived first. he demanded to know if i had been asked for drinks, answering a question with a challenge. i said, yes, but you took a very long time with them and i want to check if my order is being taken first as i was here first. he said 'i was taking a drink order so be polite and lets be nice shall we?" given the fuss and attention they received and the condescension, aggression and challenge i received for asking a simple question, the snickering and relegating someone junior to me, i indicated that differential treatment just because someone is single is unwarranted, and left.
