The pizza at i carusi has always been leaps and bounds ahead of the competition since it opened over a decade ago, and its recent form is better than ever. many restaurants in melbourne may have tried to emulate i carusi's pizzas in terms of their thin bases, and creative toppings, but none have been able to match it! probably the only criticism of the place has come as a result of the restaurants popularity, as it is often very crowded, tables are extremely close together, and service is often slow.
also, as of recent times the restaurant has added a $7.50 charge per bottle of byo wine so goodbye cheap night out if a budget is a problem for you!
all that aside, the pizza is well worth the long wait for service and the overpriced wine list. enjoy!
