I don't know these bad reviews are about re: house of canton. sounds as though they might be reviewing the wrong restaurant, or the competition has sent people in there. house of canton is one of the best in chinese cuisine, considering the taste & quality it is fairly inexpensive. i have been eating chinese food in restaurants since i was approx. 5 years old, & this place is hard to beat.

I can't believe people would classify that as a restaurant!
the food was deer and hardly worth any of my money.the service is terrible and the environment itself is just plain absolutely plain! some people should just not run a restaurant and this is one of them.there are plenty of bad reviews and mine shouldn't be a surprise.do not go to the house of canton it is lifeless and just plain disgusting!!!

Being far away from kiama i rarely visit, but whenever i do the house of canton never disappoints. the food is always served quickly and the service is great. i would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Have been a regular at the house of canton since it opened.great food,service & atmosphere. a new owner took over 2 or 3 years ago.have been there twice.the food is crap & the owners are arrogant.would not catch me wasting my money in this place.

I am a regular user of the jumponit vouchers and this voucher did have an expiry date on the voucher, did you not read the fine print? unlucky buddy, go and have a cry to someone who cares. their service was outstanding and their food matched what i had been hearing about the restaurant. keep up the good work guys.

Haha lol @ dissapointed customer. those vouchers expired of course they arent going to accpet it. and the food there is amazing (the best chinese i've had in years!), best service and lovely atmosphere

The worst ever

We purchased a ticket off jump on it for this rest. and when we went to use the voucher they wouldn't accept it. we had booked in for lunch, there was nobody in the rest. and then they made a huge fuss that they didnt want to accept the voucher even though we had pre-paid for it. i called jump on it while in the rest. and explained the situation and the company jump on it said the rest. should have excepted the voucher and was sorry to hear of their behaviour and told us to make a complaint. the guy working behind the counter then abruptly told us to get a table and he would then service us but by then his attitude and the way he was raising his voice at us (like we were such an inconvenience) was terrible and we didnt want to eat there. jump on it have since refunded our money and we have made a formal complaint against the rest with jump on it. i would not recommend anybody to go to this place. unless you are going to spend top dollar, they dont want nothing to do with you. terrible service, disgusting behaviour!!
