 Extremely rude staff - disgraceful

My friend and i thought the burgers were plain, chips were soggy, and milkshake a little bland (and all overpriced), though i wasn't too fussy at the time because i was hungry.
but the lady who served us was extremely rude - for absolutely no reason!!! we ordered our food in the most friendly and polite manner possible after she called us over, and then she simply barked at us to order one step to the right, where someone else was being served at that time. so why call us over, just to bark at us and look at us with loathing? she was so rude that we were in shock. she looked us both up and down with such a scathing look that i was stunned. for what reason i can't begin to understand. she asked us if we would like salt in the most bluntest manner possible, and i tried to be cheery. 'yes, chicken salt would be great, thanks!' then she flicked the salt once over our chips without even looking, death-staring someone behind us. when we thanked her very much and left, i glanced back and she was still looking us up and down with the most patronizing and hateful look on her face. what the??
i have since talked to four or five other people who have eaten there and they tell me they all know the shop and the lady, apparently they have all been treated the same way by her. and my sister tells me she received that treatment twice by that lady and does not go back there anymore, the same with her friend on a different occasion, and that "she's like that with everyone and must hate her job". i think whatever the reason, that service is absolutely disgraceful.do they take for granted that customers will come back just because they are on the beachfront? because there is a fish and chip shop at the other end of the lane and plenty other places to eat. and all the people i talked to said they don't go back there because of that lady. they need to pick up their act, learn from other cafes and tuckshops out there. i've worked in hospitality and i know that that kind of service is totally unacceptable - you would be fired on the spot for it. they should learn from wambie whoppers who are just around the corner, and greet customers with a smile. its not that hard
the lady is short, tanned with dark hair. she has been working there for a long time. she might be the manager

Service was disgraceful, waiting 10 minutes to be served as everyone was just standing around looking at us. then waited another 30 minutes for a takeaway milkshake. won't be coming back, biggest waste of time.

Despite being located on a busy corner fishbonez manage to provide a comfortable ambience if one chooses to eat in and the beach within veiw is a great spot to eat takeaway. my family and i have purchased a meal here several times over the past few years and have always been happy with the service,the staff and the food.

This place is disgusting. service crap, food crap, everything was crap. im pregnant and looked at the food and decided not to eat it but my husband ended up with food poisoning. only gave it a one because i couldn't leave it blank.

We celebrated our 42nd wedding anniversary here, sat outside with beaut water view, wonderful food,even gave us a glass for our wine,excellent service, very friendly people.god bless you.
