My husband and i frequent the coogee yeeros cafe take away establishment at least every 3-4 weeks. however, we were confronted last week with appalling behaviour.
my husband ordered a lasagne, priced at $6.50 through the take away section of the cafe. it was not listed in the menu we were offered. just before the food was to arrive, the waitress informed us that we will be charged an additional $2 for eating the food at the cafe. i protested and informed that this inforamtion should have been give to us prior to the placement of our order. i asked her to rectify this issue. she went to speak to her boss. in the meantime, our food had arrived. she then told us that this is the price. i told her that we will not east until this matter is resolved. she went back to her boss who was screaming at full volume at her. she then told us that it is okay and we will be charged $6.50.
our bill arrived (the price had not been changed). i informed the person taking our money that the bill should be less $2. with an appalling display of customer service, she informed me that the $2 will be coming out of the other waitresses tips. i was horrified and let her know what i thought of her boss.
it is upsetting to come across such poor display of customer service and treatment of staff. i will never visit this cafe again.
