I love this shop.from the minute you walk in to that place,you know this shop works.it's big,clean,full of stock and always busy.food is awesome chickens are tender and the salads are always fresh.has been there for many years and i will be going there for many more to come.keep up the good work.i'm a huge fan.

 The worse hot chips i have ever bought!!

On 6/4/2011 bought a small chips, took for ever to get served and they were over priced for what you got. got home to serve them to find out they were all screwed up and not even fit enough to give my dog. well i will never buy there again.
i remember chicken chef being the best years ago but not anymore!!!!

I've been eating at this shop for many years,and i live in the western suburbs.let me tell you that there is nothing like it anywhere.the chips are done the old fashion way,the salads are always fresh and the chickens are the most succulent ever.outlet very clean,and there is a dinning area.staff always great.

The staff are sooo rude, it's just incredible. there is an old lady who just barks at customers. no smile, nothing. chips are fantastic, and i think this is the only reason they have any customers at all. luckily chip cravings only occur a few times a year!!

There is nothing like chicken chef blair athol any where in south australia if not australia. there food is brilliant, salads allways fresh,there chickens are very tasty and what about the chips,mmmm. i can just taste that salt, you what? im coming down right now for a fix.

The chips here are to die for! i would be horrified if they ever changed the way they do them - none of those frozen chips here! chickens always tender and juicy. i have been going here for 30 years. i live 15 minutes away and still drive here most times to get my chips.

The best takeaway i've ever had. the chips are incredible, ask for them "well done" and you'll never switch back. prices seem expensive at first but the servings are massive.the chef is the only reason i'd get out of my car in blair athol, it's worth the potential beating. i've never seen a more popular takeway, i once got there for opening time on a sunday at 11am and there were 6 people ahead of me while the doors were still locked. mental. can get very busy due to the high volume of chip orders, would be great if they installed an extra deep frier, i've taken a close look at the workspace and i'm sure they could fit it in. here's a good tip if you're not a local (we out-of-towners are easy to spot, we're the ones wearing shoes) - if you're going for chicken'n'chips and gravy, don't buy the pack as it will turn into a congealed brick on the drive back to your house. order and a chicken'n'chips, then buy the gravy separately. give the gravy 10 seconds in the microwave when you finally make it home to bring it back to the perfect temperature. this will also give you the chance to pick at the chips on the long drive home. magic.

Altho a bit pricey the service is always great and friendly and the chips are the best.. fresh oil daily. yum!! beautiful selection of salads. veg and gravy drinks small selction premade desserts.. sit down or take away.. and no i dont work there.. just love the food!

This is the best place to go and try fresh food. the chips are made from fresh potatos and cut daily. there chikens are allways tender due to the sheer amount that they cook . the service is friendlly and efficient. chicken chef blair athol is south australias icon as you would expect from a shop that has been the industry leaders for over 40 years.
