My family and i have lived in this area for nine years and we have only ever bought our chicken and chips from this takeaway shop. our extended family and friends have always bought from there because of how we've gone on about it. recently, however, an incident has occurred to mar our perception of this establishment. without going in to too much detail, suffice to say that we arrived to pick up up the order we had placed roughly 15 minutes before to find that the store had closed. there was still a few minutes until closing and, as we had already paid, we assumed our order would be given to us. this was not the case. after several minutes of arguing with the outgoing staff members who, it appeared were currently trying to give our food away to some other people who were somehow in the closed shop, we asked for our money back. this was ignored but eventually we received our food as they finally seemed to believe the one remaining order was ours as we knew everything that was in it and probably more importantly, weren't going to go away. the staff members that i dealt with on this particular evening are not the ones i have always dealt with and have come up incredibly short in their approach to customer service which is a shame. its not enough to have good food if the service leaves a poor taste in your mouth. my family, friends and relatives would rather pay more else where and recieve the quality of service one should receive when ordering food. wont be going back.
