Come to budgewoi visit my friend very now and then we alway end up at soccer club to have lunch here . the food here is so nice and fresh and the service is friendly and fast . they seem to have lot of regular customers here . everyone seem to know each other . very friendly club and friendly restaurant and cheap too $9.00 for lunch special but big serving . i love the crispy friend beef. yum

I have been coming here for years. the food is absolutely superb.the staff are welcoming and friendly.
penang curry chicken is a must to try.
would highly recommend this malaysian resturant to everyone.

This is the sister restaurant to vistana malaysia at charlestown. this restaurant caters for a much larger patronage (up to 100 people) menu is almost identical other than a few throwbacks to when it was a thai restaurant ie: red and green curries.
standouts are the laksa and various noodle dishes. the laksa is not sweet like many that are served in asian themed shopping centre stalls like westfields and non-malaysian takeaways. none of the dishes are 'blow your head off hot' and great care is taken to use fresh ingredients. servings are generous and there are specials on traditionally slower nights.
if you want high quality malaysian food, there is simply no competition both in newcastle and the central coast. highly recommended.

Went here for my 21st birthday as i've been coming here since i was young. i decided to have my birthday here because it is great food with quality service. great way to start the night with a delightful and friendly atmosphere. we ordered a banquet and there was so much food for such a great price and all of my friends and family enjoyed it, we will definitely go back again.

Have been here couple of time while we holiday at the entrance . the seafood laksa and char keow teoh (ckt) remind of me of my home town penang . the laksa and ckt was bought out very quick and generously large in size . after we eating and paying , the staff told that we should come back on tuesday night because the $10.00 noodle night special is on . the place now is call angkasa malaysian restaurant now and in situated inside budgewoi soccer club . will definitely come back next time we holiday in central coast

This restaurant has a cheap buffet every sunday night and its really good food and really popular (2 seperate rooms with buffet tray in each you can use both (prawns and desserts included) you can still order the normal menu to take away on sundays. i dont like that they only give you only 1 plate - no scrap plate (you have to take a soup bowl - which means there is no bowls for the soup) and you have to reuse your dirty plate which is a cross contamination hazard and im not sure if thats even legal (i know with drinks at the bar it is not legal to refill even if its your own because of cross contamination) but alot of coasties are on benefits so im sure they are happy to put up with it instead of having to pay extra to cover the service expense of washing several plates., id much prefer to pay extra than risk getting hepatitis and other peoples saliva in my food. this area is not short of quality buffets so i go elsewhere i.e the greens at entrance has a very classy and affordable buffet. budgewoi soccer club is family friendly and coasties can sometimes be a bit loose on ettiquette and controlling their children but i think the atmosphere there keeps them more aware because i haven't seen children unattended causing trouble and sticking fingers in food or anything, its more quiet and nice. i have never had a problem with msg in my life except for once at this buffet (i like msg) and i think the chef that day went overboard so if your msg sensitive maybe order off the menu to be safe because i had trouble breathing. on a normal day the food and service is wonderful and this place is popular because of the quality. most non-family people prefer to eat here off the normal menu because its just fantastic and good value but buffet day is popular with families especially on school holidays which is good for the kids to have a treat, i just wish they would give fresh plates..

The meal is large serve and value for money , the service is friendly , i like the sizzing barbeque king prawn and john special fried rice . for entree i like the san choy bow . also we had special crisy fried beef and malaysian grilled chicken
we walk out the door very happy and spend some time playing keno and pokies machine in the club

Extremely happy and full. service was kind and helpful. a wide range of choices also. food was delivered quickly and sizes was very good for money. the food was exceptional and filling. staff was good through out the night which added to the satisfaction. top ratings, deffinately recomended.
