I'm so sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience. That was truly not our attention. We really appreciate your feedback, and hope you do give us the chance to make it right, I would like to comment on your feedback
1. The chicken burgers made in house daily and grilled without any oil , on top of your burger you added egg, caramelized onion and double bacon which can add some moist and some grease to your burger.
2. By your comment it make the presentiment that you spent $70 worth of food you wasn't happy with but you ordered also XL chips , small fries , chicken schnitzels , caramel cheesecake , nutella cheesecake, oreo brownie , walnut brownie , salted caramel ice cream and pepsi max .
Did you throw it all to the bin?

Unfortunately, the travel from chapel st to armadale did no justice to the chips (cold and hard), and the burgers patties had time to overcook, and also had pieces of hard fat in them.
a long time customer of the chapel st and north melbourne branches, i love the food in store and it is worth the money - i am disappointed with the price vs. value on delivery thought.
also, the ordering online experience was difficult, having to try 3x on mobile, failing at payment, before moving to a desktop computer.
having to give my mobile (to receive a confirmation code) is an annoyance - i do not share this easily, with spammers and telemarketers everywhere.
first time i had to do this to order something online. i would assume that my payment should suffice to indicate i am serious about getting stuff delivered?!
then the store called to confirm the order, as if paying was not sufficient to confirm; and we still had to show the card to the delivery person.
overall, a complicated process for a poor result, at an expensive cost ($113.20 for 2 adults and 3 kids).
the store offered a complementary pot of ice-cream, which was a nice gesture.

however i got a text on friday with a $5 discount code saying it was valid for the weekend. i tried it twice tonight on the site, checking the correct spelling several times but it said the code was invalid.

Ordered our burgers as we normally do on a saturday whilst we are working.... the driver failed to open the front door of our shop and deliver our order instead called 3 times and then went back to the restaurant... then had the staff member call me and told me it was my fault for not answering the phone and offered to deliver the cold burgers to us.... no thanks!!!!!! bye bye babu hello cafe burgers :)

Very dissapointed. i ordered off the babu website this afternoon and as i got towards the end of the process i put in my credit card details. once i clicked to proceed the website went to a bank page (westpac?) that stated that there was an error. i tried to put my details in and try again but still the error page. so i went to another restaurant page and ordered my food there. a little later my food from babu arrived! i demanded that my credit card payment be refunded which was not met with agreement and i did not receive a straight answer from anyone as to if i would be refunded. onviously i didn't take the food as i had eaten from another service. not very happy to be a regular customer paying for their faulty website....

We love baby burgers. the service and food are always excellent. the only feedback i have relates to ordering online on my mobile. whilst i can order from my ipad without issue - i cannot order from my phone. once you click on the 'order online' button it goes nowhere. thought you might like to know

we waited over an hour for our burgers when the actual store is not even 10 minutes away, then when it did finally get here my burger was raw, no not rare when i order medium it was raw, and my partners wedges box wasn't even half full while mine was.

Every time i order from here, i'm never disappointed. quick delivery and polite driver. and i finally found my perfect veggie bomb burger: falafel patty, fried egg, jalape?os, avocado, extra onion, smoked cheddar, aioli... as a vegetarian i find a lot of boring veggie burgers around ...but no more! i love the falafel patty! and my boyfriend enjoyed his 200gr meat patty :) (ps. my burger was bigger then my boyfriends, love that)

It's always great food, comes quickly and is relatively inexpensive. $20 for a burger can seem expensive until you put into perspective what you get at mcdonalds for $15, and i can attest to the fact that babu is soooo much better, fresher and tastier! unfortunately this time i got bacon added to a burger that didn't have it in the order, so just double check before you eat! but it's the first time they've made a mistake, which is impressive considering the build you own menu. 4.5 stars

however i was very disappointed to today receive a burger that had a very soggy bun and clearly undercooked chips.

Ordered through the website which was easy. received an estimated delivery time which was accurate.
the taste of the burgers was fantastic. the chips were fair.
unfortunately, the gluten free buns really don't work with the delivery option (havent tried in store yet). by the time we received them, the gf buns were soggy and impossible to eat as a burger.
will happily try again in store, but will skip the delivery next time.

You can't go wrong with a burger bar that delivers beer or wine too! fast and friendly service, babu is my go-to when i get that gourmet burger craving. i do however, have to say that their pricing model should be reviewed, only because a good burger and fries shouldn't cost up to $20 😞 still, they're tasty and very filling but can only be afforded when we want to treat ourselves.

Love your burgers but it's pretty shit when you charge me nearly $20 for a burger that you forgot half the add ons for. last nights order had 1 out of 3 burgers right. first no.8 and no.2 were missing add ons. come guys, hard to want to keep coming back if we're rolling the dice to see if our orders gonna be right.

There are a lot of ways a burger can go wrong between leaving a shop for delivery and being consumed, and babu avoids all of them!
tree huggers are not going to love this but the packaging is just awesome! no sweaty wet buns or soggy chips, nothing but hot crispy fries and a proper juicy burger with a nice crusty bun (none of that brioche rubbish that seems to be the latest melbfoodfad).
delivered still steaming hot in 35mins. babu's fridge magnet is placed prominently and permanently on my fridge. will be ordering again.

Ordered a couple of burgers and fries with some beers last night and experienced the best delivery service i have ever had.
all arrived in 30 minutes in a cardboard bag (all packaging recyclable), burgers came in 2 parts preventing the lettuce etc going soggy, food was very well prepared and the flavour just as good.
babu just became my new regular !

The delivery was fast and the food was still nice and hot which was nice, the burger itself was delicious, juicy meat, perfect combo of meat to sauce to bun ratio, the chips were crispy and also the cider was great ! had a couple of friends who tried the cider and all gave their thumbs up for approval ! the cider is easy on a hangover as well... just saying ! positive experience all round ! will definately go back for seconds !

I really want to try more of the menu but i've ordered the number 5 burger and i can't stop myself from ordering this every time. it's just so damn delicious. blue cheese, bacon and egg with chilli mayo and bbq sauce. omg i am salivating writing this. babu is by far my favourite burger joint and when it's delivered it's always hot. the way they split the burgers and put the sauce on the side means you don't get a soggy sanga when it arrives (although sometimes the bottom is stuck to the box) my wife is a vego and loves the vegi balls and the huge salad.
one thing... i think they need more dessert options. the custard and the trifle are nice, but there should be something thick and choclatey on offer as well.
i've tried every local burger joint in south yarra (and there are heaps) and babu is the best by far. alcohol prices are really good too.
again a warning... don't order the number 5 burger because if you do you'll never want anything else. it's just soooo good.

Had been wanting to try babu burgers for a while - lazy thursday night delivery and everything hit the spot, from the yummo burgers to the perfect fries and house dessert - even the packaging was rad; kept all the bits of the burger apart so it wasn't soggy by the time it was delivered. atmosphere rating n/a as it was at home but as there isn't an n/a option, i'll give it a 4 as i enjoyed the meal sitting on my couch, and it was gooood.

Me and my mates all tried the burgers(there first time, not mine) and all three were heavily salted.
customer service was great and so was the delivery. when i forgot something from the order they waived the second delivery charge and the lady on the phone was very helpful.

Babu burgers are great. so many options to cater to everyone. my favourite is a small chicken strip burger with avocado and maple bacon. they do delivery as well and i do not know how they do it, but somehow they have perfected the science of delivering a burger fully in tact that is in no way soggy or damaged by the travel. the babu balls are pretty good as well, although i don't think it is possible to eat both a burger and the balls, so they are for next day microwaving!

Ordered 3 burgers for pickup. the way babu packaged them was like nothing i'd experienced before. the attention to detail! amazing.
then the taste, the in house made bun and perfectly sized bun to patty. oooow yeh. amazingly tender and juicy patty. definitely option the grilled mushroom on whatever you get!

My beef burger was fine, but i was a bit disappointed with the veggie salad. the description of the salad ($11.90) makes it sound like nuts, lentils and chickpeas are a big part of it. however, it's mostly lettuce, a little bit of carrot + underripe tomato, and probably the same number of nuts, lentils and chickpeas as my fingers! not good value for money there.

The order took a while, however when we ordered we were made aware of this. the food was great. fresh, and tasty. the sauces that accompanied the meal are great. ask for the thick cut chips rather than the french fries. especially if getting delivery. they keep their heat and crunch longer and are very yummy.

The food was stone cold. especially the chips. we tried to put them in the microwave but they went completely soggy. disgusting. took ages. what a waste of time and money

The burgers are huge here, well we ordered the 300g. great tasting and very filling. i rated the atmosphere a 3 even though we had it delivered as i have eaten there and felt there was something missing, it felt empty.

Delivery driver handed me a soggy brown paper bag. a preview of things to follow. burger buns were soggy and chips were stone cold. seasoning in the paddies was not to our liking. very disappointed. not the first time we've ordered from babu, but it will be the last.

I am a fan of this burger joint in that the quality of the indredients is excellent and the burger definitely satisfies my desire.
unfortunately i am not a fan of their own claim to fame and that is the flavor of the actual meat patty. yes it is quality meat and well cooked, i just don't like the flavor all that much.
otherwise, its great value for money, the quality of the burger, burger bun and ingredients is great and they even offer six packs of beer with free delivery if you live in the area.

We got babu delivery. if you want a large chips you should order three lots, not sure what they qualify as large, but ours sure weren't. the meatballs were meh and so was the burger. we had a fried egg on our burger the white was undercooked and made the burger soggy, i found a huge chunk of gristle in the meat and sorry, but if you're in the burger business, you should know iceburge lettuce is the only kind of lettuce to use. i gave the service three stars because it didn't take long for our food to arrive.

First time eater of babu.
delivery on time and friendly. my initial order i had to amend on phone staff excellent. everything as ordered food very hot and fresh. the chips were not soggy and still crunchy. the burger fat and and succulent. i was really impressed by the packaging designed so that it wasn't swimming in juices and soggy from sauces and mayonaise and recyleable. sauces on side and good supply of tomato ketchup if needed -which i did not need to cover the natural fresh flavours. best pattie real meat not frozen mass produced type. a premium deluxe tasty burger only second to homemade, better than some of the retaurants i have been to. i have had grilld and urban they were not anyway near as good as babu. they fell apart and inevitablely soggy unless you ate quickly and instore. great choice of extras. burger so big and filling. fantastic choice ofalternative boutique beers and cider. ordered salad for following days lunch and it too was also excellent. my new favourite take away.
