Best food out! can't get a great pizza in the balwyn area for such a cheap price! the owners are great since its a family restaurant! great atmosphere and always greeted with a smile when i walk in to order or collect my pizza!
i'd recommend to ring ahead on friday and saturday nights :)keep up the good work guys!

thank you for taking the time to explain the situation from your perspective. it must be difficult to respond courteously to frustrated customers when working under great pressure. i have since returned to amani's pizza, by visiting your shop rather than using your home delivery service. it was a friday night and i could see for myself just how busy you were and how much pressure this placed upon you and your staff. this time, though, the service was good, the pizza was hot and your customer was satisfied. thank you.

Thank you amani's for delivering my dinner on friday night. the food is always consistent, tasty and top quality. we have tried many other pizzas in the area and no body can come even close to what you do. we know how busy it can get on fri and sat nights. we don't mind waiting since the food is always worth the wait !

I ordered two pizzas on a friday night at 6.10pm. i was advised it would take one hour to deliver, which would be fair enough as fridays are busy...
however, the pizzas arrived at 8.20pm, more than two hours after i ordered. i'm sure the delivery service would be better during non-peak periods, but beware: during peak periods it may take ages before you get your meal.
for the price the pizzas are decent but the quality means little after waiting for so long.

I first tried amani's over a year ago and i didn't like it. i finally gave it another go two months ago thinking that the last time mustve been an off night and i'm thrilled. the pizza is cheap, the delivery drivers are nice and most importantly it tastes good. i don't find it greasy, and it probably tastes better the next day. i'm just sorry that i didn't order from here earlier.

Hello russell,
i am co owner of amani's pizza. after reading your review i can understand your frustration at waiting a long time for your food to be delivered. i regret what happened but i think you should know that on friday and saturday nights all customers are informed that deliver time is over an hour, so that means it could go from 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 mins. let them assure you this is normal for all popular and busy pizza places throughout melbourne. it can be quite daunting to be going as fast as you can and doing your best for your customers and then you get a frustrated caller. we understand and it does happen, sometimes we try to call customers that are not regulars and don't understand the waiting times to reassure them but as you can appreciate its not always possible on a very busy night. unfortunately, when you are working under extreme pressure that can come out on the phone to a customer and be easily confused with impoliteness. more than 70% of our customers pick up and i think if we were impolite you would read other reviews inferring this and we would not be so busy if our customer service is as you describe. we are so grateful to all of our customers who have and continue to support us. we really do try our best, unfortunately you can't please everyone.

We waited for nearly 90 minutes to have two large pizzas delivered to within 1 km of the outlet. when the pizzas eventually arrived they were luke warm. i rang the shop twice after making the original order, to enquire as to how much longer before delivery. the response was an impolite "we're busy; it's friday night". had an apology been offered i would probably have forgiven them.

I've been living near them for over 10 years, and they've always had top-notch pizza. i haven't had many pizzas as good as theirs, but i've sometimes paid more than they charge.
