After giving this restaurant a miss for a long time i decided to give it another go on friday night. what a waste of time and money. i completely agree with the previous reviewer. the older lady she refers to is the owner and appears to be devoid of any people skills whatsoever. when it came to order she ignored me and i had to gain the attention of the one and only waitress. since only four other tables were occupied she wasn't really being overworked.
i began my order by ordering cantonese steak - sorry we've run out - five occupied tables on a friday night and they have run out??? ok - one of my dinner group then ordered salt and pepper squid - you've guessed it - sorry we've run out. i just had to ask "is there anything on the menu you do have?"
apple juice for my daughters child - no go!!!
when we eventually got our second choice order it was a very poor imitation of chinese cuisine - all flavorings and no substance - had to leave half of it - inedible!!.
the best part of the whole meal was the chinese green tea - and i brought my own.
overall, poor service, poor choice and poor quality - never again!!!

Worst chinese food ever!

My husband and i dropped in for a quick dinner, we're new to the area and wanted to try out the local chinese food. the place was a bit like going back into the 70's with their decor, there was even an old drink lid under the curtains. i should have realised that if they don't clean the place properly the food wouldn't be too good.
the older lady who served us looked like she'd just swallowed a lemon and was very grumpy whilst taking our order, not a single smile once.
i ordered the fried calamari with spicy salt. this is one of my favorite dishes and i was really looking forward to it. it came out after about 3 or 4 minutes and it looked ok, there was a poor overly wilted bit of parsley garnish that had seen better days, but otherwise, not too bad. upon tasting it however, i was very disappointed. the batter had no crisp to it at all and in fact tasted like it was fried then stored and reheated in the microwave.
my husband and i began to notice the constant bell of the microwave after that. seems just about everything in there comes out of the microwave!
we also ordered a beef dish, which was marginally better but again didn't taste fresh at all.
we left at least 3/4 of the calamari as we were both very concerned about reheated seafood (plus it was awful). when we went to pay the bill i asked the younger waitress if it has been re-heated, she insisted it was fresh. i said it couldn't be as it was not crispy at all ( there was nothing about it that tasted fresh), she was very argumentative and charged us full price. i wasn't looking for a discount but if it were my restaurant i'd want to make sure people were happy with what they were paying for. also the prices were around $18-$20 per dish, which is higher than we'd pay in the city!
i'd leave no stars if it were an option and would highly recommend never eating here! be warned.
